1- Journal of Area Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal published twice in a year as June and December.

2- The publication language of the journal is Turkish, English, French and Arabic.

3- The articles submitted shall be clear and understandable, and be in line with scientific criteria in terms of language and expression.

4- The articles submitted to the journal should not have been published previously or sent for publication simultaneously elsewhere.

5- Articles sent to the journal must be scanned by the author in plagiarism programs (iThenticate, Turnitin or intihal.net), and the similarity report must be uploaded to the system with the submitted article without any filtering. 

6- All copyright of the articles accepted for publication belong to Journal of Area Studies. The Copyright Transfer Agreement should be signed by all authors and uploaded to the journal with the full text of the article as pdf or jpg file.

7- In order for the studies submitted to our journal to be evaluated by the referees, pre-checks are provided by the editorial board. At this stage, firstly, the relevant editorial board member evaluates the work in terms of writing and publication rules, ethical principles, and compliance with the journal's purpose and scope. In the first stage, two referees are appointed in accordance with the "double-blind peer review" system for the works deemed suitable for the referee evaluation. According to the reports of reviewers, the manuscript is decided for the publication, rejection and/or revision or sent to a third reviewer. The authors will be reported for the final decision on the manuscript.

8- There are no submission fees or article processing charges for the submitted articles. No copyright fee is paid to the author for published articles.
